One lovely afternoon not-so-long ago, we spent our Sunday Family Home Evening on the grounds surrounding the Salt Lake Temple. Brett and I both love being downtown in the summer. The kids love it, too, particularly Temple Square. A beautiful quiet is there that puts peace in our hearts.
We wandered around, talking about the variety of flowers, the detail of the temple spires, and the stillness of the reflection pool. I had brought a treat for us to eat (No Bake Cookies) and an hour later we loaded back into the car. Instead of taking the direct route home, however, Brett and I decided to detour up into the avenues...we enjoylooking at all the old houses just pouring out character and charm. (Something we used to do all the time for our date nights when we were first married and couldn't afford to do anything else!)
