Brett, having you in my life makes me...makes me the LUCKIEST

I heard this song (that should right now be playing for you) on Preston's blog and just fell in love with it. Am I the only person in America that hadn't heard it before? Naturally, the words made me think of Brett. I've often wondered how miraculous it is that someone like me was able to snag someone like HIM! Truly, "I Am The Luckiest".

(I'll post the incredible lyrics before the slideshow of my sweetheart!)
~ ~ ~
I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here
And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday

And I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?
And in a white sea of eyesI see one pair that I recognize

And I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you

Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away
I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong

That I know
That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

Isn't it funny how you hear some songs or stories that seem to state, (often much more eloquently than I could ever come up with on my own) exactly how you feel about someone or something.

Mandy and I have always had a pact that we pass away together or not at all.

I had almost forgotten how great music is, I havn't listend to great music for a long time(too busy with family, school and work to pay any attention to the music around me) Ashlee and I got eachother ipods and have loaded them with great music and now we have fallen in love with music all over again. I now realize how much I have missed the music in my life. My family is my favorite song.

Hey Hope! I found your blog through the Langelands, I hope it's okay that I perused! :) I haven't seen you in a while, since I'm stuck in nursery, so I'm glad to see you are alive!

What a sweet set of lyrics, I'm glad you posted it!

I love that song. When Jeff and I got married, we had a wedding video at our reception that showed pictures of us growing up and pictures of us together when we were dating and that was the song we used for the video.
